Sequel to The Zambezi Conspiracy

A number of beta readers said they loved my character Joseph, Robert Michaels’s self-appointed assistant and advisor in The Zambezi Conspiracy. So Joseph will be the hero in book two in the series!

Robert and Sarah will have his back, of course, but he’ll need all the help he can get to make it through what he’ll be up against - like more powerful, money-grabbing politicians, foreign mining companies, and a few twists none of them will see coming!

When earnest young villager Joseph, uncovers a sophisticated ivory and human trafficking network operating under the guise of legal mining and conservation efforts in Zimbabwe’s remote Zambezi Valley, he must put his life on the line, going undercover as a poacher himself to help bring justice to the people and wildlife of his beloved homeland.

I’m loving writing this one just as much as The Zambezi Conspiracy. I can’t wait to get into it every morning and wish I could work on it full time, but hey, one step at a time!

The Zambezi Conspiracy

This is my debut novel, an eco/adventure thriller. It will be the first in a series set in Zimbabwe’s untamed Zambezi Valley.

Wanting a fresh start after his divorce, English doctor, Robert Michaels, finds more than his own life on the line when he takes a job setting up a medical clinic in a village in newly independent Zimbabwe’s untamed Zambezi Valley.

When he uncovers a lucrative elephant and rhino poaching syndicate operating from the village, Robert is naively determined to expose the exploitation of the local wildlife and people and becomes a target himself.

Robert is torn. If he stays to fight for what he believes in, he risks not only his own life, but those of dedicated ecologist, Sarah, and earnest young villager, Joseph, his self-appointed assistant. And the consequences for the village could be devastating.

Unsure of who can be trusted, and how to combat unbridled power and influence, it becomes a question of how far Robert is willing to go to help bring justice to a place where predators aren’t just those on four legs.

This is a story with a conscience, a gripping tale of ordinary people struggling against the odds to do what’s right in a remote and wild setting.

The manuscript for The Zambezi Conspiracy is complete and I’m currently looking for a literary agent to represent me with this novel.
