Non-Fiction Books
Welcome to my non-fiction books page!
I hope you find ideas and inspiration in the pages of my work. And, most importantly, I hope you enjoy what I’ve written. I’ve tried to make it that way. I currently have three books in publication on personal development, self-leadership, and leadership. More books are coming, including a children’s book and a novel that I started over 20 years ago! (Go to my Fiction page to read about them.)
All my non-fiction work is inspired by my journey in life, from my upbringing surrounded by wildlife and war in Zimbabwe, to building organisations, coaching and mentoring people, and my leadership career across three continents. I’m passionate about animals and wildlife, so I suppose it’s not surprising that two of my books turned out to be fables about some of the African animals from my homeland region.
I love to hear from my readers, so please reach out and let me know about your journey, whether you’ve enjoyed my books, and whether they’ve helped you. I hope so.

Full of wisdom and wit, these short African animal fables are an engaging exploration of how to be a better leader in an ever-changing, confusing world.
Each fable addresses a crucial aspect of leadership, from self-leadership and team building, to creating an engaged culture, communicating effectively, and leading in an era of ongoing change.
This is not a book about how to become rich or famous. If that’s what you want, it will help. But the aim is help you live an authentic, meaningful life.
Richly enhanced with real life anecdotes and examples, it’s a step-by-step guide that leads you through three simple principles that will help you create and live a fulfilled life, a life of purpose, direction and meaning, whatever that is for you.
It's about working out what’s important, knowing yourself, and staying in control and on track. Mostly, it's about living the sort of life you want to live by being the sort of person you want to be.
Want your organisation or team to be creative, innovative, adaptable, and sustainable? Whether or not you can achieve that is ultimately dependent on people and the right sort of leadership of those people.
Filled with real life anecdotes and examples to reinforce the key messages, this short e-book is a series of three engaging African animal fables, each addressing a different aspect of leading and developing an organisation or team to create a strong, positive culture and engaged, productive employees.
Available only in e-book format from BookBoon.
